THEATRE AND DRAMA
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of theatre and drama, covering concepts, history, and genres. Students explore dramatic texts, character analysis, and stage techniques, as well as engage in performance-based activities. The course emphasizes voice projection, body movement, stage blocking, and collaboration in theatrical productions. Students participate in both scripted and improvisational performances to enhance creativity, communication skills, and cultural appreciation.

BAHASA INDONESIA
This course explores and trains the proper and correct use of Indonesian in accordance with the Indonesian Spelling System (EBI) for various academic, scientific, and professional purposes. Topics include language structure, language varieties, vocabulary, effective sentences, and the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Emphasis is placed on writing academic works, articles, reports, and official documents that meet linguistic standards. Through structured practice, students develop the ability to communicate clearly, logically, and ethically in both spoken and written forms.

CRITICAL SPEAKING
This course enhances students’ ability to articulate ideas, arguments, and opinions in spoken English with clarity, coherence, and critical reasoning. Students engage in debates, panel discussions, persuasive speeches, and problem-solving dialogues that require logical argumentation and evidence-based support. Emphasis is placed on structuring arguments, anticipating counterarguments, and using language effectively to influence audiences.

CRITICAL LISTENING
This course develops students’ ability to critically comprehend and evaluate spoken English from diverse sources, such as lectures, debates, interviews, and media broadcasts. Students analyze speakers’ arguments, rhetorical strategies, tone, and underlying assumptions while distinguishing between fact and opinion. Emphasis is placed on listening for detail, identifying bias, and assessing the credibility of information.

SCIENTIFIC READING
This course equips students with the skills to comprehend, analyze, and evaluate scientific texts in English across various disciplines. Students practice identifying research aims, methodologies, findings, and implications while assessing the validity and reliability of sources. Emphasis is placed on interpreting data, recognizing academic language features, and synthesizing information from multiple texts to build a critical understanding of scientific literature.

SCIENTIFIC WRITING
This course develops students’ ability to produce clear, well-structured, and academically sound scientific texts in English, including undergraduate thesis proposals, research articles, community service articles, and applied project reports. Students learn to formulate research problems, structure manuscripts, and apply appropriate academic language and citation styles. The course covers writing components such as abstracts, introductions, literature reviews, methodologies, results, and discussions, with emphasis on coherence, precision, and adherence to ethical writing standards. The process includes manuscript submission and publication in SINTA 4 or SINTA 3 research journals, SINTA 4 or SINTA 3 community service journals, and publishing books with ISBN through IKAPI-member publishers.

TEYL
This course introduces the principles, methods, and techniques of teaching English to young learners, typically aged 3–12. It covers theories of child language acquisition, developmental characteristics, classroom management, lesson planning, and age-appropriate activities. Students explore the use of songs, stories, games, and multimedia to create engaging learning environments, and design teaching materials suitable for young learners.

RESEARCH METHOD IN ELT
This course introduces research methodologies in English Language Teaching (ELT), covering quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method approaches. It encompasses research design, topic selection, literature review, data collection techniques, data analysis, and interpretation. Throughout the course, students examine empirical studies in ELT and develop independent research skills. The process is directed toward producing undergraduate thesis proposals, research article manuscripts for SINTA 4 or SINTA 3 journals, community service article manuscripts for SINTA 4 or SINTA 3 journals, as well as project proposals intended for prospective ISBN publications.

ADVANCED ENGLISH GRAMMAR
